In a world where about 80% of the population possesses some superhuman ability known as a 'Quirk', the profession of 'Hero' has become a reality. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is a Quirkless middle schooler who idolizes the number one hero, All Might. Despite lacking powers, Deku dreams of becoming a hero. A chance encounter with All Might changes his life forever when the hero chooses Deku as his successor, transferring his unique, stockpiling Quirk, 'One For All'. Now possessing immense power (that initially wrecks his body), Deku enrolls in U.A. High School, a top-tier institution for training future heroes. Alongside classmates like his explosive rival Katsuki Bakugo and the earnest Ochaco Uraraka, Deku learns to control his power, faces villainous threats, and strives to become the world's greatest hero.
